More About Me

Being a Realtor is my dream job and I am so grateful for the opportunity to help clients through the process of buying and selling homes.  A licensed full time agent since 2005 I have focused on perfecting my skills, knowledge and expertise to better serve my clients.  My goal is to exceed expectations.  Most of my business comes from repeat and referral clients.

Personal Story

The first thing that you should know about me is that I am of a rare breed in this field because I have known that I wanted to be a real estate agent my whole life. When I was a little girl, my father was a real estate investor and he always took me with him to look at properties. On these trips, instead of just playing around, like many kids my age would have, I helped him with as much work as a seven-year-old kid could, cleaning houses and doing yardwork. As I got older, I assisted him with work around the office, from administrative duties, to answering calls, to filing paperwork; trying to learn as much about the business as I could. I was basically an assistant agent as long as I can remember. We even had a deal, if I got a call that led to someone buying the property, he’d pay me, which led to my first real estate deal happening at fourteen years old!

Even though real estate is in my blood and I always knew that is what I wanted to do, my path to the field was not direct.  Instead, I moved far away from my home in North Carolina to attend Southern Utah University, where I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing to better prepare myself my future in real estate. My studies have paid off because advertising and promotions is one of the core strengths that I currently utilize in my career as a REALTOR®.

During college, I met a man named James Carter on a blind date, and we started dating shortly after we were introduced.  We were married our senior year and moved to Southern California in 2001. After we moved, I worked as an underwriter for an auto insurance company for a few years. The insurance industry proved beneficial to my future career because it gave me a foundation in attention to detail with paperwork, processes, and policies, as well as practice providing the ultimate in service to my clients.

In 2005, I decided that I had waited long enough, and obtained my Real Estate License. 15 years later I continue to employ the values I learned through my life lessons as I strive to be thorough, honest, and professional. I have been described as “Politely Persistent,” meaning that I will respectfully and diligently work on my clients’ behalf until absolutely all their wants and needs are met completely.

Even though I found the career that I have always wanted, my life was not quite complete.  In November of 2016 we introduced our beautiful daughter, Juliette, to the world and Joslyn followed two years later in 2018.  I am passionate about being a mom and love the new found connection I feel to my local community.

I would love nothing more than to lend my knowledge and experience toward helping you with your real estate endeavors. Buying or selling real estate is an enormously important transaction and it’s imperative that you choose the right representation.

Thank you for taking the time to learn about me. When you or someone you know is in need of a real estate agent, I hope you give me the opportunity to demonstrate my services.

Sincerely,

Jessica Carter
